Our Stories Told By Us
On 17th July 2024, we hosted an inspiring evening at Cardiff Central Library. The Our Stories Told By Us team shared their book celebrating African contributions to the UK’s HIV response, highlighting personal stories of resilience, recovery, and leadership often missing from official narratives. Co-authors Angelina Namiba, Charity Nyirenda, Memory Sachikonye, Rebecca Mbewe, and Winnie Ssanyu Sseruma emphasized the importance of Africans living with HIV leading the project and telling their own stories. The Fast Track Cymru Team also presented on their work in Wales toward zero HIV transmissions by 2030, offering an important reflection on over 40 years of the UK’s HIV response.
